Kidnapping ends in Copacabana

He finished his abduction in a building on Rua Assis Brazil, in front of the subway station of Piazza Cardinal Arcoverde in Copacabana, in Rio's Zona Sul Reported by Captain Blaz of Special Operations Battalion (Bope) Military Police.

According to Bellini, three criminals who had four men and two women hostages surrendered and freed the victims on Sunday morning (6). No one was injured.

Also according to the BOPE, the suspects were armed with a pistol and a knife.

BOPE policemen were responsible for negotiating with the suspects. According to initial reports, the armed criminals yielded a couple who were coming home in a building on Rua Assis Bueno during the early hours of Sunday. The doorman was surprised to drive and told the officer that is in a stand in the street. The PM then fired the BOPE.

With the arrival of the police, the criminals tried to escape, holding the couple hostage and went into another building, when surrendered other victims.

Interim government of Honduras will also require visas in passports Brazilian

The interim government of Honduras announced on Friday (4) that, applying the principle of reciprocity, it will now require visas for entry into the country of citizens with Brazilian passports. The measure applies to ordinary passports, diplomatic, official or service.

The day before, the Brazilian government announced that it will require visas in the passports of Hondurans from Saturday (5). The measure is due to the coup of June 28, which overthrew President Manuel Zelaya.

The Brazilian decision, according to Foreign Ministry, based on resolutions of the OAS (Organization of American States) and the United Nations (UN), which do not recognize the government de facto in the country and ask about Zelaya.
