PF investigates dumping of waste from Europe in the ports of Brazil
The Federal Police opened, this Wednesday (8), an investigation over the dumping of tons of waste from Europe in the Brazilian ports. The cargo arrived hidden in containers.
In Santos, the coast of São Paulo, were 300 tons of garbage.
In the port of Rio Grande in Rio Grande do Sul, some 740 tonnes were isolated.
In the complex of the dry port of the Serra Gaucho in Caxias do Sul, reached almost 150 tonnes of waste in eight containers. By order of the importer, the company that made the transport boxes collected and downloaded the material in the courtyard, the sky, along with other cargo.
The loading began to arrive in February, but in June the Federal Revenue found 64 containers.
The Revenue Service has assigned images made at the time of discovery in Rio Grande. There are paper, plastic, glass and even the cover of a chemical toilet.
