Board allows shared custody of children
The Chamber of Deputies approved this Tuesday (20) a bill allowing the shared custody of children of divorced couples. This means that a child will spend the time with his father and part with the mother, who also share the responsibility for their children. The project has already been approved by the Senate and presidential sanction to follow.
The text adopted by members allows the judge decides for the same shared custody to a dispute between the parties. The project gives preference to this type of guard instead of unilateral, in which only one parent is left with the children.
In shared custody, the parents separated divide the responsibilities on their children. It is up to parents decide together all matters concerning the development of their heirs.
To define the activities of parents in custody shared the judge may request aid to a professional. Any unauthorized alteration or breach of clauses of the contract of guard may involve a loss of law, including the reduction of the number of hours that the father or the mother has with the child.
