President of the STF criticizes judge who ordered prison of Dantas

In the decision that granted again freedom to a banker Daniel Dantas, a president of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Gilmar Mendes, it criticized the federal judge Fausto de Sanctis, of the 6th Criminal Stick of Sao Paulo, which had determined the prison of the businessman two times.

For the Minister, the new prison of Dantas “ reveals clear oblique road of disregarding the decision of the Federal Supreme Court ”. “ It is not the first time that the Federal Titular Judge of the 6th Criminal Stick of the Judicial Subsection of Sao Paulo, dr. Fausto Martin de Sanctis, revolts against decision emanated from the Court ”, it criticized Gilmar Mendes.

While telling to set the banker free, Gilmar Mendes reiterated that, again, the "fundamentação" used by the judge “ is not sufficient ” to justify the prison of the banker.
