Uncertainty makes international Bovespa Tuesday drop of 3.78%

The Bolsa de Valores de Sao Paulo (Bovespa) closed lower on strong this Tuesday (23), following the uncertainty on the help of U.S. $ 700 billion promised by the U.S. government into crisis on banks operating in the country. The release of the money depends on the U.S. Congress.

Therefore, the Ibovespa index, a reference to the Brazilian market, had low of 3.78%, closing the session to 49,593 points. It was the second low followed by the Brazilian market - the day before, the Bovespa had registered a decrease of 2.86%. The financial volume traded was U.S. $ 5.35 billion.

The uncertainties about the global economy led to the conclusion that the demand for basic commodities will be reduced. With this, suffered Petrobras and Vale, the two main shares traded on the Brazilian market. Both had a decrease of more than 4% this Tuesday. Stocks linked to retailers such as American Stores and Renner, had lower than 7% on the day.
